Lingering

This weekend we went to Cary, NC to visit our friends Jenny and Josh Linger.
They moved out there for jobs a couple of years ago and we really hadn't seen much of each other since.
So after two years of "we need to get together soon" we finally did!

We had an amazing time catching up and just hanging out, though they did take us on quite a few fun outings and basically spoiled us rotten!

I'll tell the story through pictures... here ya go...

Rupert begged begged begged to have his nails painted (before we left, so I obliged)

Quite a process since he has crooked toes!

Roger Dodger, Raji

Nails too!

On to the vacation!

We built sandcastles for hours, literally!

Oops, slippery

He may have been high sticking, but look at him go!

So as you can tell, Marbles (http://www.marbleskidsmuseum.org/) is definitely the coolest place EVER!

You could play there for days and I just stopped taking pictures at one point because he wouldn't be still long enough for me to get a shot!

Jenny and Josh also took us to a restaraunt called The Pit (http://www.thepit-raleigh.com/) which was soooooo outrageously yummy.
Of course we all had BBQ and then I ordered the banana pudding for dessert, it was immaculate.
I went into a slight food coma after that and don't remember much else about the evening :)

Before we got turned around it was time to come home again.
We had a super fun time and miss Jenny and Josh so much.
So it's definitely not going to be another two years dammitt!

Also, bc I can't leave this out...
Monday was the release of Lady Gaga's Born This Way album.
So before we hit the road to come the six hours back home, I stopped by Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy, oh and an iced coffee :)

It is AMAZING, fantastic, fun, off beat, wonderful... all the things I expected and more.
I can't get enough and am listening to it nonstop... I can't help it, she's a genius.

  1. Love the pics and am now certain our boys need to be friends. This must happen...they are twins. Although considering you and Ry I am so not surprised. My favorite is the corn dog pic...keepin it classy!

  3. That's just ridiculous!
Well, it won't be any time soon unfortunately since Chris thinks driving to Texas is a bit excessive for a 3 year old, but hopefully soon! :)
